Cooking
One of the best parts about growing so many varieties of fruits and vegetables is eating all of them. We are so lucky to live in a time were so much information can be found on cooking and preserving all of the great produce you can buy during the spring and summer months. Information on canning, freezing, and recipes can be found on the left. Information on the food preservation demonstrations hoseted here are listed below.
2009 Food Preservation Demonstrations
This year will be the first year we will be offering food preservation demonstrations. OSU Extension volunteers certified through the Family Food Education Program will be at our farm twice per month demonstrating how to preserve in-season produce, answering questions, and providing you with great advice and recipes so you can make your produce last through winter! Whether you are an expert or a novice, there will be something for everyone. We will have duck races and soccer set up meaning that there is fun for the whole family! We look forward to seeing you.
When and Where Demonstrations will begin at 1:00p.m. and will last about an hour. -- Aug. 29: Salsa and Tomatoes
