CSA
2009-2010 Information
This year we are excited to announce we will doing our first ever Winter CSA program. Over the last few years we have been growing winter produce for the Corvallis Indoor Farmers Market only, but with all of the interest from our customers we have decided its time to start our Winter CSA program.
The Winter CSA program is a little different than the summer program. You will still be getting a great variety of produce (the only big difference being less fruit). The winter program is 15 weeks long instead of the 22 during the summer. The other difference you will notice is we have some great add-ons you can choose if you would like a little more than produce this winter. All details are listed below, we hope to see you this winter!

About our CSA Partners:
About Turpin Family Farms *Eggs*

About Afton Field Farm*Eggs*
In 2002-’03 Tyler spent a year at Polyface Farm in Virginia as an intern with sustainable farmer extraordinaire Joel Salatin. When Tyler returned to Corvallis Oregon he started Afton Field Farm on about 10 acres. We now own and manage 106 acres using Joel’s methods raising pastured poultry (for eggs and meat), grass-fed beef, oak savanna pork, turkey, lamb, and bees for honey, as well as baked goods (all products subject to availability).
Farming Methods: All of our animals are raised on pasture or in the woods using Managed Intensive Rotational Grazing methods. The beef and lamb are strictly grass fed from birth to slaughter and all other animals, layer chickens, broiler chickens, hogs, & turkeys, get a large part of their diet from the pasture and woods. They are also supplemented with custom grain mixes.
Processing: We process all of our poultry on-farm at our beautiful, State (ODA) licensed facility, and the large animals are butchered at Dayton Meats, in Dayton, OR. If you would like to see any of the butchering process or just want to see the good life these animals live, please feel free to come visit!
